Coyotes in the Neighborhood

CoyoteInNeighborhood

Urban coyotes are in the news again lately with the pack-loving canines causing more –than-usual havoc in some SoCal residential areas. (Can we blame this activity on the drought? Less food options in our wild areas? Or are we making life too easy for them with our urban smorgasbord of backyard pets and overflowing trashcans?)

Westside residents can get the lowdown on how best to coexist with these feisty urban critters at an upcoming public information meeting on “Coyotes in the Neighborhood” at 6:30 pm on Nov. 18, 2014 at the Playa Vista Branch Library Community Room.

Geared toward communities of Westchester, Playa Del Rey and Playa Vista, the discussion by local LA Wildlife Officers will hear concerns and offer straight-forward solutions to problems people have encountered with not just coyotes, but all urban wildlife.

Expect straight-forward and informative advice from the experts.  Walking on the wild side won’t be as scary when you leave.
